An exciting new chapter for Lofted Spirits, built on a decade of innovation.

We’re proud to announce Nick Smith as Master Distiller, Lofted Spirits, overseeing production at Bardstown Bourbon Company, Green River Distilling Co. and Lofted Custom Spirits.

Nick has been here from the beginning. He joined Bardstown Bourbon Company in 2016 and helped build the operation from the ground, up to more than a million barrels. For the past decade, he’s worked alongside Bourbon legend Steve Nally, learning from one of Kentucky’s most respected distillers while driving modern innovation across our business.

Meanwhile, Steve steps into his new role as Master Distiller Emeritus, traveling the country as an ambassador for Lofted Spirits and Kentucky Bourbon at-large, proving once again “There’s Nowhere Steve Won’t Go.”

With Nick at the helm of Distillation and Dan Callaway leading our blending to new heights, we will continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in spirits.
